The academy took its name from
the late Yoshitaka Funakoshi the son of the late Gichin
Funakoshi the founder of the Shotokan.
Yoshitaka had a great influence on the Shotokan system
developing many of the kicking & hand techniques
we use to day.
The academy follows the teachings of the late Kase Sensei
who was greatly influenced by Yoshitaka when he trained
at the Shotokan & incorporated many of his ideas
into his own development & founded the Kase-Ha Shotokan-Ryu
Karate-Do Instructor Academy.
